Philadelphia’s acclaimed artist returns: Experience the Art of Maryam’s at Atlantis The Lost Bar

Philadelphia’s acclaimed artist returns—don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to view and collect her work, available until November 30th.

The art scene was alive and buzzing this First Friday at Atlantis The Lost Bar, where Maryam’s long-awaited art show, Colored in Black and White, marked her return to public exhibitions. After a break from the gallery spotlight, Maryam’s work captivated an enthusiastic crowd, many of whom gathered to admire, collect, and celebrate her unique artistry.

It had been since 2021 that Maryam last displayed her work, her final showcase held during CFEVA’s Philadelphia Open Studio Tour. Following an injury that left her heartbroken and disheartened, she stepped away from public exhibitions to focus on her healing journey. But with encouragement from friends and family, she was finally ready to return, choosing Atlantis The Lost Bar as her comeback venue. Rey Rey, Atlantis’s charismatic manager, welcomed her warmly, fostering an environment that felt like home for both the art and its audience.

The event drew a diverse crowd, including art collectors, enthusiasts, and notable guests like Andrew Black, President of The Black Bottom – Philadelphia Chapter, who has now joined the ranks of Maryam’s collectors. He expressed his admiration for her artistry, stating, “Maryam’s work feels deeply personal yet speaks to universal themes. Her pieces have an essence that resonates long after you’ve seen them.”

Guests were visibly moved by the collection, with several attendees remarking on the depth and emotion conveyed through Maryam’s black-and-white palette. “There’s something powerful in her work that’s almost tangible,” one guest shared. “Each piece tells a story of resilience and creativity that you can feel.”
